Bad data in SHP file, how to find.

Question
marz asked on October 17, 2016, keyword: Developer Kernel
A long time customer provided an updated centerline file (SHP) format, and when I try to create the routing object via rtrOBJ.LoadTheData(lyrSRC) a "Floating Point Invalid operation" error is returned.  If this error is ignored, the map will load and work correctly except for address routing. I suspect some bad data somewhere in the SHP file, how does one track these types of issue down?
