MapQuest OpenStreetMap Web Tiles Access

Hi Guys,
I was surprised when I opened my application and on my map was a MapQuest notice that as of July 11, 2016 direct tile access has been discontinued. I am sure you are aware of this, likely found out the hard way like I did. I have read that I can still get free access using an App Key, restricted to 15,000 map transactions. I have signed up for the key, now I just need to figure out how to access the tiles through the Developer Kernel interfaces. Do you have any experience, suggestions, hints that would fast track access to the web tiles?

It is very unlikely that we will support new MapQuest interfaces.
