Blurry maps on mixing WMS maps with a different CS

When I load a map from a WMS in epsg 4326  first and then add a map from an other WMS in epsg 28992 the visual quality of the second map layer is rather poor. Loading them the other way around yields the same result. The first map looks good the secondis displayed in a degraded way showing a somewhat blurred lettering and fine texturing, and some ragged white lines at the tile borders).
I presume this is because the first map sets the general CS and subsequent maps are adjusted on the fly.
Of course, asking the WMS to return the second map in the default CS would solve the problem but this is not always possible(?).

Does anyone have a suggestion to get a better result?

Hi,

Any kind of pixellayer using a different coordinate system then the one it was generated for gives a bad quality.

You should try to get all the webservices using the same coordinate system.

In Europe you might try to use EPSG 3785 as coordinate system. It depends on what the service provider offers you.

So the Dutch 28992 mixed with the WGS84 (4326)

Furthermore it does not matter which layer is loaded first. The moment you set up the coordinate system for the project (so stored in the TTKGP) it will reduce the quality of any pixellayer having another CS as the one stored in the TTKGP.

So far there is no solution known to me.

For vector layers this is not a problem.

Be aware that it is not a problem of the TatukGIS applications. This is a mathematical issue which is the same as in other GIS applications.
