Download and Install

To download a purchased product or start an evaluation, visit the Download page of the TatukGIS web site.

• If the downloaded product has not been purchased, an evaluation period will be offered.
• Upon the first download, a serial number required to install and use the product is generated and sent by email. The serial number is also provided under My Account / My Products.
• Users of a newly purchased product are notified by email when product access is granted.
• Users of a purchased product can also access pre-release and older versions from My Account / My Downloads.

Use of the term "purchased product" means a license has been purchased to use the product.

Serial Number

All TatukGIS products, except the free TatukGIS Viewer, use a serial number that is specific to the product and the user. The serial number begins with the user's email address followed by a series of digits.

Activation Code

Activation binds a product to a specific machine.

• Developer Kernel (DK) - To activate, open any of the provided samples or simply place TGIS_ViewerWnd on a form and start debugging. At that time, the activation wizard presents options to provide a serial number, start a trial period, or simply run the program (without activation) for a few minutes for a very quick evaluation. • Editor - Automatic activation via the internet is attempted the first time the program is run. If automatic activation is not successful, the activation wizard presents options to provide a serial number, start a trial period, or simply run the program (without activation) for a few minutes for quick evaluation.

The activation code is a very long string of numbers the user normally never sees unless automatic activation via the internet is not possible. If automatic activation is not possible, the activation wizard presents a URL to use with an internet-connected computer to obtain the activation code. The code must then be copied back to the activation wizard on the installation computer.
