TatukGIS is pleased to announce the release today of the new ActiveX edition of the Developer Kernel as a public beta. The DK-ActiveX edition contains exactly the same set of over 2,000 functions and properties as the DK-Delphi/C++Builder VCL edition, and is designed to offer compatibility with non-Borland languages, such as Visual Basic, Visual C++, and scripting languages.

The final release of the DK-ActiveX edition as a version 6.5, which will be simultaneous with the release of the DK-VCL edition v. 6.5 upgrade, is expected in the next several days. The version 6.5 upgrade will introduce substantial new features, which will be detailed in a subsequent announcement.
