TatukGIS is pleased to announce support for Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 in the latest version 8.9.2 update of the .NET edition of its GIS Developer Kernel product. In most cases, porting a DK.NET based application from .NET Framework 1.1 to 2.0 requires only replacing the DLL, but recompilation is recommended.
In consideration for those customers who want the benefits of this latest DK.NET update without being required to immediately move to .NET 2.0 (and VS2005), the DK.NET product is now provided as two assemblies, one for compilation under .NET 1.1 and the other for compilation under .NET 2.0.
TatukGIS has also already tested the DK.NET with Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0 and 3.5 and Microsoft Visual Studio 2008.
The TatukGIS Developer Kernel is a comprehensive GIS software development toolkit for the development of custom applications and solutions. The Developer Kernel is provided as three product editions, e.g., a manageable .NET WinForms component for use with all .NET languages including C# and VB.NET, an ActiveX component, and native Delphi/C++Builder VCL. The version 8.9.2 update of the DK-ActiveX and DK-VCL editions are also now available.
