News Release of TatukGIS IS 6.0 "Standard" Beta (renamed "IS Simple") A public Beta release of the Standard version (later renamed "IS Simple" version) of the TatukGIS Internet Server (IS), an ASP component, is now available for download from the TatukGIS web site. August 07, 2001 Beta 1 of the Developer Kernel-Version 6.0 TatukGIS released Beta 1 of version 6.0 of the Developer Kernel (DK) to licensed users on July 30. Any licensed DK user can now download the DK 6.0 Beta 1 from the TatukGIS web site. Beta 1 introduced the following features to the DK August 01, 2001 TatukGIS Developer Kernel Version 6.0 TatukGIS plans to offer version 6.0 of the DK in the summer of 2001. Relative to version 5.0, 6.0 will support i) Delphi 6, ii) ActiveX/Visual Basic, iii) additional data formats - TAB, DXF, DWG, and improved handling of MIF, and iv) other miscellaneous advancements, including improved speed. May 15, 2001 DK Developer in the U.S. Launches a CD-based Recreational Water Access Guide Chris Conklin moved the development of his interactive Chesapeake Boat Launch Guide from a competing GIS software product to the TatukGIS Developer Kernel in September, 2001. He released the first version of the Guide based on the DK in March, 2002. This article about the Guide recently appeared in the Chesapeake Bay Magazine.
